Experience the Living Sanctuary of ʻImiloa Institute, Costa Rica
Step into the wild embrace of Costa Rica at ʻImiloa Institute, a jungle sanctuary devoted to regeneration, presence, and deep reconnection. Nestled within lush rainforest and flowing rivers, ʻImiloa is more than a retreat center—it is a living ecosystem designed to support personal transformation, ecological harmony, and embodied wisdom.
Hosted by Kiki Keating and Leigh Ann Root, this immersive week invites you into a rhythm of restoration and exploration. Each morning begins with grounding yoga, followed by a rich menu of experiences you can intuitively choose from: rainforest hikes to cascading waterfalls, time to soak in mineral-rich hot springs, sound healing journeys, guided meditation, breathwork, and mountain walks that awaken the senses. Evenings gather us around the fire for reflection, warmth, and connection beneath the stars.
Throughout the week, you’ll also explore ancestral and earth-based practices, including a blue clay experience, a heart-opening cacao ceremony, breathwork and moments of sound heal. Every element of the retreat is designed to harmonize body, mind, and spirit while honoring the land that holds us.
Our intention is simple yet profound: to help you bring home the person you are when you feel most alive. More present. More open. More you. ʻImiloa offers not just rest, but remembrance—a return to your natural state of balance, joy, and belonging.
Your Costa Rican escape begins! Upon arrival at Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO), you’ll be greeted and transferred to the elegant Cariari Hotel in San José. After check-in, take time to unwind from your travels—relax on the grounds or settle into your room as you ease into the rhythm of the journey. We'll gather for a celebratory welcome drink and disperse for dinner on our own
