Join us for an unforgettable journey to your jungle-chic Verdesana Eco-Retreat, nestled in the heart of Costa Rica's lush landscapes. This escape is hosted by Kiki Keating and Leigh Ann Root, a dynamic duo committed to an adventure full of exploration and restoration. This week-long retreat is packed full of opportunities for new experiences and connection to nature.
We’ll offer a yoga class every morning, and then each day will have a variety of experiences to choose from, including: a hike to a stunning waterfall, afternoons to soak in mineral-rich thermal springs, rejuvenating sound healing, meditation, hikes in the mountains, and breathwork. We’ll also share cozy evening bonfires. We’ll also explore the enchanting world of herbalism, indulge in a transformative cacao ceremony, and unwind in rustic hot pools filled with pure spring water.

Your Costa Rican escape begins! Upon landing at Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO), a complimentary shuttle will whisk you away to the Hilton Cariari . After checking in, relax by the pool or book a massage. We’ll meet up for a welcome cocktail.

After breakfast, we’ll head to El Arco Botanical Gardens for a tour, followed by lunch. At 1:45, we’ll go by private transport to the breathtaking Verdesana Eco-Retreat, approximately an hour's scenic drive. Upon arrival, embark on a comprehensive property tour to familiarize yourself with the retreat's expansive beauty. After dinner, we’ll gather for a bonfire, setting the tone for a week of serenity.

Awaken your senses with a 7:30 AM yoga and breathwork session. After breakfast, we’ll head out on a walking tour focused on understanding local plants and their role in traditional herbalism and medicine. The afternoon invites pure relaxation as we head to our outdoor hot tubs, and opportunities for onsite massages to melt away any lingering tension. Optional hiking opportunities are available throughout the day.

Start your day with a harmonious 7:30 AM yoga and sound healing experience. The highlight of the day is an optional (add-on) excursion from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM to a locally renowned thermal hot springs, where you can soak in the mineral-rich waters surrounded by lush scenery. We;ll end the day back at Verdesana with a dinner and bonfire.

We’ll begin the day with a peaceful 7:30 AM yoga and meditation session. At 10:30 AM, we’ll meet with the owner of the property, who will offer us his unique insights into the land's history and talk to us about his commitment to sustainability. In the afternoon, we’ll participate in a captivating Cacao Experience, a journey into the ancient traditions and sensory delights of chocolate. As dusk settles, we have dessert by the bonfire.

Our final full day at Verdesana begins with 7:30 AM yoga. From 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, we’ll head out for an exhilarating hike to a stunning waterfall, where we'll enjoy a picnic lunch. The afternoon offers a variety of optional creative experiences, including art workshops, hiking options, Hot pools, or massage, allowing you to personalize your farewell to the retreat. As evening approaches, we’ll celebrate the end of our week with a vibrant visiting DJ dance party.

Savor one last breakfast at Verdesana before your private transfer takes you to San Jose’s Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO) for your departure. Please work with Kiki to schedule your flights home for after 1:30 PM to allow for a relaxed journey.

The 1BR shared cabins feature a spacious bedroom with 2 queen beds and shared ensuite bathroom. They come with a furnished deck with forest/garden views, a writers desk and coffee station. These cabins are perfect for friends or 2 guests who want to have their own private bed but share a bedroom.

The 2BR cabins are the most spacious cabins, complete with 2 separate/private bedrooms each featuring a queen sized bed. They have a spacious shared living room space, large deck with beautiful forest/garden/mountain views and a shared bathroom. These cabins are perfect for 2 guests who want a private bedroom but the community of a shared living room.

Our 1BR private cabins feature 1 queen bed and private ensuite bathroom. Two of the cabins are located close to the river so you can hear the soothing sounds of the water flowing by. The third cabin has a beautiful garden view and extra privacy. These cabins are perfect for solo guests who want privacy.

Our VIP mountain cabin is located at the top of the property featuring gorgeous views of the forest covered mountains. This cabin is spacious and secluded for extra privacy. It features 1 king sized bed a private deck, a fireplace for cozy nights as well as a soaking tub with beautiful views.

Disclaimer
Payments: As soon as we receive your down payment, we will confirm your reservations and at this point, all change and cancellation policies will be in effect. KikiNetwork Travel will send you a finalized itinerary which will contain all necessary information including confirmation numbers, addresses, and phone numbers. We must receive 40% of the trip cost when you register for the trip. The full cost of the trip must be paid 45 days before the start date of the trip.
Forms of Payment: We accept ACH transfers (1% fee and .30) and credit cards (American Express, Visa, and MasterCard). There is a 2.9 processing fee for MC and Visa credit cards, and American Express incurs a 3.9% fee. If you pay by check there is no additional fee. You will need to mail the check to Kiki Keating, PO Box 223, Georges Mills, NH 03751.
Airfare/Visas/Special Permits: You are responsible for your flight to the place of the trip departure. I am happy to advise and recommend the best flights for you. Please email me at kiki@kikinetwork.com for more details.
I will inform you of any visa needs, and you must obtain any necessary visas and travel permits for all countries that you will be traveling to or transiting through. Visa and entry requirements may vary depending on your nationality, the length of your stay, and the purpose of your visit. Please make certain that your passport is valid for at least six months after the latest expected end date of your planned trip, as some countries will not allow entry if your passport expires sooner.
Insurance is required for any KikiNetwork Travel trip. KikiNetwork Travel requires an insurance plan with 100% of trip cost insured, $150,000 of emergency assistance and transportation, and a minimum of $50,000 medical evacuation coverage. I am happy to work with you to recommend one of my recommended insurance coverage companies. Please call me directly at 603-858-2733 to discuss and ask questions about travel insurance coverage.
Health and Safety Matters: Please visit your local hospital Travel Clinic. Your doctor will let you know what, if any, vaccinations or other health or safety precautions are necessary or recommended for your destinations. Cancellations: In addition to any cancellation penalties related to trip components we are not responsible for (e.g. permits, airfare, travel insurance, etc.), the following fees will apply:
Cancellation penalties apply as soon as we have received payment. Trip cancellation and interruption insurance is required.
Responsibility/Release and Assumption of Risk: By paying and signing up for a KikiNetwork Travel trip you are agreeing to the following statement; I understand and am aware that during the travel itinerary in which I will participate under the arrangements of KikiNetwork Travel and its agents or subcontractors, certain risks and dangers may arise, including but not limited to the hazards of traveling in unsafe areas or under unsafe conditions, the dangers of civil disturbance and war, unplanned forces of nature, or disease. In consideration of, and as part of the payment for, the right to participate in such travel itineraries, I have and do hereby expressly assume all of the above risks. The terms of this agreement shall serve as a release and express assumption of risk for myself, my heirs, assignees, administrators, executors, and all members of my family, including any minors accompanying me. I have read and fully understand the provisions and the legal consequences of this Release and Assumption of Risk and I hereby agree to all its conditions, especially noting and agreeing to the portion of this provision that releases the Company and its agents, employees, officers, associates, and subcontractors, to the extent permitted by law, from liability for the negligent or reckless acts or omissions of the Company’s affiliated companies or subcontractors.
